Would pay $175 for these. They are crisp, with good guides and nice balance. It has all of the top quality components as Dobyns' higher end rods and fishes the same. Comments: Got the 7 ft 6 MH for pitching jigs. I will be picking up some others to try out. I started my dobyns collection 3 years ago and fish over 100 days a year and have not had a problem. Comments:For the money these rods are the real deal. I got the 733, 734, 735 and all feels great in hand. This rod is perfect and surprisingly very light for its size! Comments:Got the Fury 795 for smaller swimbaits & glide baits. The warranty is great because I can just replace it by my house within a day later. Goal is to buy another Dobyns....probably the Champion series 734c or 764c split handle by the end of the year.So, is it worth more than the Vendetta? We'll see if it mellows out a bit as it gets broken in. $159.95. I have 3 dobyns rods; 795 fury, 806 fury, and 806 champ xp. Comments:Rod broke about a foot from the tip after around the 10th cast. It's very lightweight. This is my second fury (have the 6'8" spinning rod) and both are great rods for the price. Comments:Incredibly light and blanced for this price range, very visually appealing as well. I have Champions and Sierras and the Furies are right where they should be along side its older siblings. Comments:My new favorite rods! A lot of backbone and a lot of flex for casting and keeping fish pinned.Very light, Not a broomstick. I tend to throw finesse swimbaits and underspins on mine, but it's been a backup dropshot and split shot rod no problems. It will throw up to a 8" Hudd (ROF 5) but it's best for that 5-7" bait class (i.e. They're very sensitive with a little give in the tip for launching lures and just the right amount of backbone. Thanks Dobyns. It started out less than desirable when I picked up a 733. Mainly going to use it to skip jigs and throw T-rigs to shallow cover. I've fished with it maybe 6 times since then. The are very common guide used on a lot of the rods in the Fury price range. Man, it didn't appear to like it. This rod has been put to use and I've boat flipped bass up to 7lbs with no issues. If you hold your rod like this you'll be feeling mostly plastic. I have a 7' MH and I love it, good balance, lightweight, and sensitive all at a good price. Comments:I have the 705 cranking rod the 7'0 medium heavy with the moderate fast action and I have to say its a mean squarbill and chatterbait rod.It has a a good bend to it and i wasnt a believer of moderate action rods untill i got this one.if your throwing square bills or chatterbaots its good.ots durable and i havent had a single issue with it.It also has some better sensitivity then rods with moderate action i have tried.The cons are that to me this is not the best rod for jerkbaits or topwater as it states it can be used for because of the soft tip.but when you do hook fish on jerkbaots they stay pinned well and it doesnt pull the trebbles out of the fishes mouth like a fast actipn rod could.find what works best for you! I actually ordered it from amazon and the rubber on one of the line guides were cracked. It measures 7-foot, 3-inches and is a Dobyns 4-power rod – heavy/fast action. Normally, I'd say the 734 is the Dobyns jack of all trades. The tip is pretty soft, which I like. I liked it, it wasn't bad I put on a big whopper plopper one day made a cast and my rod just snapped. Where it really starts to shine for me is with a 3/8 pitching jig. Loomis and st. Croix and id take the dobyns over both. Comments: I've had the 7' medium light rod for awhile now replacing a 13 fishing rod I dropped overboard in the delta. I use it for texas rigged craws and jigs and it's really sensitive with excellent backbone/power for hook sets, but it's still able to bend well for fighting the fish. But for a $120 rod to break on the cast is a little ridiculous. The Dobyns Sierra Series rods feature high modulus graphite blanks, Fuji Alconite guides, Fuji reel seats, Kevlar wrapping and Portugal AA cork. Only fished them 12hrs tops so far but I am pretty impressed with them at this price point. I must say, the distance on the casts and the overall stiffness of the rods is outstanding for finesse applications. Have not thrown anything over 3 ounces but it has held up great with everything under this weight. Normally you'd think the rod should be super light and flexible but these things are stiffer and balanced, perfect for wacky rigs and dropshot.
